Provision a real cloud server with Terraform and put the app live on HTTPS. Then let the pipeline deploy every green merge to main, fix injected failures from the logs, and restore from a backup.

In week 6 you present a portfolio deployment running on a real cloud server at a public HTTPS URL. It is a learning environment, not production hosting, but every artifact is public, clickable and yours to link on your CV.

Do I need any coding or IT experience to join?
You don't need DevOps, Linux or Git experience: we start those from zero. You should have written a little code in any language (at school, in a bootcamp or self-taught) and be comfortable installing software. Brand new to IT? Start with the free Discovery Session and we'll send you what to practise first.
How much time does it take each week?
Two live sessions of 90 minutes each week, 12 in total, about half concepts and half hands-on lab. Between sessions there is homework that finishes what we started in class.
What do I need?
A laptop with Windows, macOS (Intel or Apple Silicon) or Linux, with at least 8 GB RAM (the lab VM uses 4 GB), 25 GB free disk and admin rights to install software. Work laptops often block this, so a personal one is best. Chromebooks and tablets won't work. You also need a stable internet connection and a free GitHub account. We send a short setup guide a week before Session 1 and help if virtualization needs turning on.
What will I actually be able to do after 6 weeks?
You'll have taken a real web app from source code to a live public deployment: containerised with Docker, tested and deployed automatically with GitHub Actions, on infrastructure provisioned with Terraform, with a GitHub portfolio that proves it.
Why is the program limited to 3 to 5 participants?
Small groups mean direct feedback every session, a personal learning path, and real conversation, not recorded videos you watch alone. You'll actually get unstuck when you're stuck.
What tools will I install and use?
Ubuntu Linux in a local VM, Git and GitHub, Docker and Docker Compose, GitHub Actions with SonarQube Cloud and Trivy scans, Terraform and PostgreSQL, plus the everyday debugging tools: curl, docker logs, journalctl. Kubernetes is deliberately left for after this course; you leave with a clear roadmap into it.
How does the capstone project work?
In the final week you polish and present your Deployment Portfolio Artifact: the live deployed app, its CI/CD pipeline, an architecture diagram and a written troubleshooting story. It's a real portfolio piece you can link on your CV and GitHub.
What happens to my live app after the course?
During the course your app runs on a cloud server we provide, no credit card needed. Those servers are switched off on an announced date after the course. In the final week you move your deployment somewhere that's yours: a free hosting option, your own small server for about €4–5 a month, or a portfolio that rebuilds with one terraform apply. Your repo, pipeline history, container image and infrastructure code stay yours for good. Moving a system is itself a real DevOps skill.
